I have been so busy with lots of knitting commissions and test knits. But I am here again with another blog post.
The weather has been rainy and a little but miserable so trying to keep positive. Also had a big change home wise but it’s all working out well.
Apart from knitting my other addiction this week has been vanilla latte coffee. Probably the reason why I’ve been whizzing through my work
Also been dyeing some gorgeous yarns. This one is called galaxy and it is matching so perfect for socks. peggys yarns etsy shop
One of the socks I’m working on at the moment by Carol feller through the aplayfulday podcast on ravelry. I bought the e book and loving the patterns
What are you working on? What would you like to read or see on the blog? Let me know in the comments
I love the start of the new year for organising everything. I don’t like clutter and like things to have their own place in my home.
I love this idea for using pegs for pieces of yarn you wish to keep. Such a handy idea and looks pretty too.
Another idea for using up oddments of yarn is to use it on presents. Something I will be doing for birthdays this year.
If you have any empty tissue boxes left use them to store your yarn in or while you are knitting. You could even decorate the empty boxes yourself.
Glass jars are excellent for keeping buttons especially if you have lots of different colours that need sorting out. A great visual display on a shelf or desk.
I have a lot of yarn in my stash, which knitter doesn’t?! These shoe holders are a great idea for storing yarn in
Let me know if you have any hints or tips on craft storage too.
I have so many ideas for the new year it’s all very exciting.
I saw an idea the other day of putting things you wish to achieve into a glass jam jar and then at the end of the year see how many became possible. What a great idea! Something I will be doing
We don’t usually do much for New year’s eve but I thought this was a great idea to keep the children happy and make them feel a little more special on New year’s eve.
I hope you all have a great new year and let me know if you are going to try any of these ideas.
